Qorilazo Noticias: Un incendio forestal de grandes proporciones consume más de 120 hectáreas de pastos naturales y especies nativas en el distrito de Lucre, provincia de Quispicanchi, y se aproxima al distrito de San Jerónimo, provincia de Cusco, informó la Oficina de Gestión de Riesgos del Gobierno Regional.
Roberto Vidal Abarca, director de esta oficina, informó a la Agencia Andina que el fuego se activó el último sábado en el sector de Chelque, de la comunidad campesina Pucará Ccolccaqui, y pese a la ardua labor que realizan brigadistas, no se ha podido controlar.
Según explicó, las lenguas de fuego consumaron ichus o paja, pastos naturales, árboles de q’euñas, eucaliptos y probablemente generaron la muerte de cuyes silvestres o poroncoe, venados, aves pequeñas entre otras especies.
Por tercer día consecutivo, brigadistas de la V Brigada de Montaña, Bomberos, Policías, comuneros y voluntarios suman esfuerzos e intentado apagar el fuego, pero fue insuficiente debido a que esta se desplaza por los vientos e ingresa a lugares agrestes y peligrosos “está ya en el límite con San Jerónimo, la zona es agreste y dificulta los trabajos”
Según el funcionario, en Cusco ya se han registrado 51 incendios forestales, una persona falleció (en Livitaca, provincia de Chumbivilcas) y se han perdido casi 2,000 hectáreas. En comparación al 2021 explicó que es menor, ya que ese año se registraron 330 incendios y más de 17,000 hectáreas de cultivos se perdieron.
“Hacemos los trabajos que corresponden para evitar estos incendios, desde enero dimos capacitaciones y labores de sensibilizaciones, los 63 tambos (brigadistas rurales) llegan primero a los siniestros, pero hay que decir que estos incendios se están dando en cercanías a la ciudad lo que hace evidente la intervención del hombre”, explicó.
De acuerdo a estudios, el 99 % de los incendios forestales son provocados por el hombre, y el restante es natural, aquí hay, según el director de Gestión de Riesgos, responsabilidad de malos agricultores y vecinos que utilizan el fuego para cuestiones ajenas al buen uso.
El funcionario también señaló que hasta el momento no se identifica o interviene a los responsables de los incendios, motivo por el que hace un llamado a la Policía Nacional, Ministerio Público e incluso al Poder Judicial.
“Generar un incendio está penado, las cenizas no son abono ni fertilizantes (en referencia a los roces o quema de pastos), más aún empobrece la tierra, lo hace menos productivo, una persona que propicie un incendio puede ir a la cárcel de 4 a 6 años, y pagar una multa por encima de las 5 UIT”, finalizó.
