REGIONAL: Minsa entrega generadores de oxígeno a 7 establecimientos de salud de Cusco

QORILAZO NOTICIAS:El Ministerio de Salud (Minsa) entregó a cuatro hospitales y tres centros de salud del Cusco equipos generadores de oxígeno, con el fin de fortalecer la capacidad de respuesta en situaciones de riesgo causadas por las heladas a las personas que viven en esta zona andina del país.
La entrega de estos equipos se realizó a través de la Dirección General de Gestión del Riesgo de Desastres y Defensa Nacional en Salud (Digerd) y los establecimientos beneficiados son: Hospital Regional del Cusco, Hospital Antonio Lorena (Hospital de Contingencia), Hospital Quillabamba, Hospital Santo Tomas en Chumbivilcas y los centros de salud de Belenpampa, San Jerónimo y Urcos.
Esta entrega se da en el marco de la implementación del Plan de Reducción de la Vulnerabilidad ante la Temporada de Bajas Temperaturas 2019-2021, precisó Melissa Laqui Laqui, representante de la Digerd.

Asimismo, el director ejecutivo del Hospital Regional del Cusco, Félix Hidalgo Ramírez, agradeció esta importante inversión que permitirá atender las contingencias o situaciones de emergencia.
El Minsa destacó que la comitiva de profesionales y técnicos de la Digerd está verificando la instalación y puesta en funcionamiento de los generadores de oxígeno de carga inmediata, así como la capacitación al personal de salud en el manejo del sistema.
Este equipo está compuesto por un generador de oxígeno compacto, cuya función es capturar el aire y almacenarlo para entregarlo a los pacientes, junto a una compresora de llenado de cilindros de alta presión. 
Precisó que el manejo de este equipo es muy fácil, se lleva a cabo a través de una pantalla táctil y un mecanismo inteligente que favorece el trabajo del personal, sin necesidad de mayor entrenamiento especializado.
Según el Minsa, el oxígeno es el fármaco más utilizado en medicina y es parte fundamental de la terapia respiratoria para los pacientes que son atendidos en emergencia, hospitalización, centro quirúrgico, unidad de cuidados intensivos y otras áreas del nosocomio.
Este moderno equipo cuyo costo aproximado es de 280,000 soles, es una gran inversión sustentada en la necesidad de salvar vidas humanas.
