Con el Haywarikuy, la ceremonia ancestral de ofrenda a la Pachamama celebrada en la plaza de Armas de la Ciudad Imperial, Cusco dio inicio a las actividades por su mes jubilar, luego de dos años de encontrarse suspendidas por la pandemia del covid-19, ante la gran expectativa de los cusqueños que esperan el arribo de miles de turistas.
El primer acto se dio con el izamiento del Pabellón Nacional, la bandera del Cusco y luego la ofrenda a la Pachamama, un ritual que está a cargo de los sacerdotes del imperio incaico.

El presidente de la Empresa Municipal de Festejos del Cusco (Emufec), Fernando Santoyo Vargas, dijo que con esta ceremonia se da inicio a las fiestas llenas de colorido donde el punto principal es la escenificación del Inti Raymi-Fiesta del Sol que se realiza en la explanada de Chukipampa, en el complejo arqueológico de Sacsayhuamán.
«Estamos dando inicio a las fiestas de este año que van ser llenas de colorido y va reunir una gran cantidad de personas que durante dos años (debido a la pandemia de covid-19) ha esperado este momento y ahora vamos a brillar nuevamente como Cusco», expresó.
Indicó que la ofrenda a la Pachamama es una actividad que será determinante el augurio para que las fiestas sean todo un éxito como todos esperan.
En tal sentido, mencionó que el 11 de junio se llevará a cabo el desfile de los 4 suyos en el cual representantes de los residente de las cuatro regiones del Tahuantinsuyo se van a hacer presentes con sus danzas llenas de alegría y color.

Precisó que se esperan unos 3,000 bailarines en la Plaza de Armas del Cusco para esa ocasión para luego, el 15 de junio se realizarpa el Corpus Christi, que es considera una de las ceremonias más fastuosas del Cusco, donde sale en procesión 15 imágenes de santos y vírgenes procedentes de las distintas iglesias de la Ciudad Imperial.
Santoyo Vargas dijo luego que para estas fiestas se van cumplir estrictamente los protocolos sanitarias para prevenir el contagio del covid-19, como el tener las 3 vacunas para poder participar plenamente en las fiestas, además del uso de la mascarilla y el distanciamiento social.
Por ello, invocó a la ciudadanía a cumplir con los protocolos de manera responsable para que las fiestas sean un éxito que es lo que todos quieren.
El funcionario dijo que una de las actividades que van a dar éxito en el mes jubilar es la gastronomía para lo cual se van llevar a cabo diversas ferias «por lo que la comida cusqueña volverá a brillar».
En cuanto a la asistencia de turistas y las reservas, manifestó que hace una semana se han invitado las ventas y que en los próximos días se espera cubrir el 90 % de las expectativas en ese sector.
