QORILAZO NOTICIAS:Se han cumplido 51 días desde que un grupo de comuneros de Fuerabamba bloquea el paso de vehículos de minera Las Bambas, a la altura del fundo Yavi Yavi (Cusco).
Este martes, se cumple 51 días desde que un grupo de comuneros de Fuerabamba bloquea el paso de vehículos de la minera Las Bambas, en el corredor Apurímac-Cusco-Arequipa, a la altura del fundo Yavi Yavi (Cusco).
La carretera que deben usar los camiones que trasladan cobre hacia el puerto de Matarani (Arequipa) se mantiene bloqueada luego de que los comuneros levantaran pequeñas chozas de paja a los lados de la vía desde fines de agosto del año pasado.
Actualmente, un grupo de comuneros de Fuerabamba permanece apostado en el ingreso principal al complejo minero de Las Bambas, en medio de un conflicto creciente y la búsqueda de diálogo con autoridades, empresas mineras y comunidades.
A continuación se muestra toda la cronología del conflicto que mantiene bloqueado este corredor minero:
► 23/3/2004: se anuncia oficialmente el proyecto Las Bambas, durante la designación de René Cornejo como nuevo director de Pro Inversión.
► 31/8/2004: la empresa minera suiza Xstrata Cooper obtiene la concesión del proyecto al ofertar US$121 millones, tres veces el precio base fijado.
► 3/3/2005: cientos de personas salen a las calles de la capital de Apurímac, Andahuaylas y Cotabambas para exigir la transferencia al gobierno regional de S/141 millones del fideicomiso que se pagó por la explotación del asiento minero Las Bambas.
► 13/4/2014: la compañía minera Glencore Xstrata anuncia la venta de Las Bambas. La transacción se concretó con el consorcio chino MMG Limited por US$5.850 millones.
► 7/2/2015: un grupo de comuneros –aprox. 400 personas- retiene durante cinco horas a 100 trabajadores de las empresas contratistas del proyecto minero Las Bambas. Luego de negociaciones entre funcionarios de la Oficina Nacional de Dialogo y Sostenibilidad, la Defensoría del Pueblo y policías de la zona, los trabajadores fueron liberados.
► 7/6/2015: el entonces jefe de la Oficina Nacional de Diálogo y Sostenibilidad, David Montoya, informa que, tras meses de diálogo entre la empresa y las comunidades de Challhuahuacho, el proyecto minero Las Bambas comenzará a operar en enero del 2016.
► 25/9/2015: el comité central de lucha de las provincias de Cotabambas y Grau convoca un paro indefinido contra el proyecto Las Bambas. En Tambobamba y Chalhuahuacho –zonas cercanas al proyecto–, varios comercios decidieron cerrar por la mañana, pero luego abrieron con el paso de las horas.
► 28/9/2015: el paro dejó 3 muertos y 23 heridos (15 civiles y 8 policías), tras enfrentamientos entre policías y comuneros.
► 29/9/2015: manifestantes quemaron dos vehículos y se enfrentaron a la policía. El frente de defensa de Cotabambas pide una comisión de alto nivel y que se libere a los detenidos. El gobierno decreta el estado de emergencia en cuatro provincias de Apurímac y dos de Cusco.
►6/10/2015: la comisión de alto nivel del Ejecutivo llega al distrito de Coyllurqui, en Cotabambas, para instalar una mesa de diálogo que permita solucionar el conflicto en Apurímac. En la reunión, el Ejecutivo se comprometió a levantar el estado de emergencia a cambio de que acaben las protestas contra Las Bambas.
► 11/4/2017: el Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones (MTC) y la minera MMG Las Bambas llegan a un acuerdo con las comunidades.
► 22/8/2018: miembros de la comunidad de Fuerabamba bloquean un tramo del corredor que conduce a la mina Las Bambas, en la zona de Yavi Yavi, distrito cusqueño de Colquemarca, en Chumbivilcas.
►30/9/2018: el Gobierno declara en emergencia por 30 días en el tramo entre los kilómetros 130 y 160 del corredor vial Apurímac-Cusco-Arequipa (conocido también como corredor minero), ubicado en el distrito de Colquemarca, en Chumbivilcas (Cusco). Esto, luego de que se reportaban bloqueos de la vía en zonas contiguas a la mina Las Bambas.
► 8/1/2019: enfrentamientos entre la policía y los comuneros de Fuerabamba dejan 11 agentes heridos y un campamento temporal de la policía quemado. Los actos de violencia se registraron en el kilómetro 148 del Corredor Vial Apurímac-Cusco-Arequipa, en el distrito de Santo Tomás, Chumbivilcas, Cusco.
► 12/1/2019: tras el bloqueo, el MTC y la comunidad de Fuerabamba acuerdan iniciar las evaluaciones en un tramo de 12 kilómetros del corredor vial Apurímac-Cusco, a fin de establecer el monto por pagar a los comuneros por afectaciones prediales.
► 4/2/2019: los comuneros de Fuerabamba bloquean el tránsito de vehículos de la minera en un tramo del corredor vial Apurímac-Cusco-Arequipa. La obstrucción es en el fundo Yavi Yavi, provincia de Chumbivilcas (Cusco).
► 17/3/2019: unos 500 comuneros impiden desde el 4 de febrero que vehículos de la minera usen un tramo de 12 km de la vía nacional que lleva al puerto de Matarani. El diálogo está entrampado.
► 25/3/2019: una comitiva del Ejecutivo viajó a Abancay para dialogar con el Gobierno Regional de Apurímac sobre el conflicto con los comuneros de Fuerabamba. En tanto, los comuneros permanecen en la entrada de la minera en Apurímac. Agentes del Ejército y la Policía reforzaron la seguridad en las afueras de la minera Las Bambas.
